35.The vet did his research

Inside the exam room, the environment seemed businesslike but also faintly mysterious. Maintaining composure as Addison settled in with his unique patient, the veterinarian waved towards a chair. The vet listened carefully as Addison started to narrate the events in the forest; his pen moved quickly across the notepad. About the site where the animal was discovered, its behaviour, and any oddities Addison had observed, he asked exact, focused enquiries. Although the session was shockingly short—just ten minutes—the vet's concentrated attention and thorough note-taking indicated he was drawing some really important conclusions. The vet's measured comments and the exam's efficiency suggested a mounting worry about the circumstances. There was underlying strain in his voice as he advised Addison to go back to the waiting room that she couldn quite identify.
