Absence
It was possible that all the experiences that had occurred earlier had alarmed the mother. After waiting for a long period of time, the mother did not appear. The infants could be heard requiring her.
Acceptance
In the end, the mother felt worn out by everyone's persistence. Several nights had passed and there was no sign of her, so the rescuers thought she might not be coming back. As it became clear that the baby foxes needed aid, the rescuers decided to intervene once again.
