After the rescuers had actually rescued the puppies from the sewage system, they had to make sure they were all well and healthy. For a look at the puppies and to ensure that they hadn't been hurt in any way, they went to a Humane Society.
Good News
It turned out that the puppies were all healthy. They did not appear malnourished, and they were strong. After making sure the pups were fine, the firefighters considered their job complete.
