The Rescue
In addition to wearing gloves, the rescuers laid out some sheets near the sewage system so that the children would have a safe place to stand when they were outside.
The First
When the firefighters reached the bottom of the sewer, they picked up the first animal thoroughly. The team was surprised at how small the animal was. Once the animal was placed on the sheet, it rolled around innocently.
