Though maybe less well-known than its A-10 Warthog contemporary, this MiG-21's unusual paint job reveals its own special appeal and character. Using brilliant yellow in the design produces a stunning visual impact that distinguishes it from more traditional military paint codes. Though it's funny compared to the A-10's "younger brother," this paint job shows great artistic value on its own right. The aircraft's powerful military aspect is preserved in the design by use of visually arresting components. Particularly during flying demonstrations or static displays, the striking impression produced by the yellow parts' contrast with the rest of the airframe would be very obvious. Although this MiG-21's look shows how even simpler colour combinations can produce distinctive and powerful designs, it might not have the same iconic significance as certain other military aircraft paint schemes.
