20 Rare Dog Breeds You Have Never Heard Of

6. Alaskan Klee Kai

Have you ever seen a dog as the most adorable and smallest Siberian Husky ever? Though they look like a little version of Huskies, it could be an Alaskan Klee Kai, a younger breed whose name essentially means "small dog." The breed is far more domesticated than Huskies. They need loads of activity since they do have the same great energy levels as their bigger cousins! Originally developed in Alaska during the 1970s and 1980s, these small friends were especially created as companion-sized Siberian Husky variations. Their heights range from 13 to 17 inches; they come in three sizes: toy, small, and standard. Though small in stature, they have many of the arresting morphological traits of their larger counterparts, including the unique facial masks and various coat colours. Excellent watchdogs, Alaskan Klee Kai are renowned for their intelligence and alertness. They can be reticent with strangers, although they create close ties to their relatives. These dogs like activities such agility training and puzzle toys to keep their active minds occupied since they need great mental and physical stimulation.
