Looking at Komondor dogs, sometimes known as Komondoroks, will surely leave an impression. Their big bodies suggest that they weigh more over one hundred pounds. Given its strength, this breed of dog is not surprising in terms of agility. They make a wonderful family friend with their sensitivity and appropriate alertness. The Komondor's most striking characteristic is their unusual cord-like coat, which organically creates dreadlock-like ropes to provide protection when working. Originally kept in Hungary as sheep defenders, these amazing canines are renowned for their great strength and guarding instincts. Komondors are gentle giants with families who exhibit amazing patience and compassion, despite their great weight and look. Grooming-wise, they are a high-maintenance breed since their unusual coat calls for particular care to maintain the cord clean and correctly formed. Though highly clever, these dogs can be independent thinkers and need consistent training from a seasoned owner.
